History

Hello, my name is Bekki Medsker. I have a doctorate in Naturopathy and Chiropathy; and I am an I-ACT/NBCHT Certified Colon Hydrotherapy Instructor and an I-ACT recognized colon hydrotherapy school.

I started studying natural health when I was 16 years old. My best friend’s mother introduced me to a book titled Back to Eden authored by Jethro Kloss. That was the start of my quest to learn more about natural health. I have attended many universities and schools and received a Bachelor's of Science with a Specialization in Herbal Studies and a Doctor of Naturopathy degree from Clayton College of Natural Health in Birmingham, Alabama. I also attended the Romano Byzantine College in Fairfax, Virginia and received a doctorate in Chiropathy. I continue my love of learning about natural health by attending seminars on a very regular basis. I am married to Dennis who is not only my life partner, but also a business partner and doctor in our holistic clinic in Florence, South Carolina. We specialize in trauma, spinal cord injuries and spontaneous healing.

I received divine inspiration to bring colon hydrotherapy to South Carolina. After receiving my training from Cathy Shea in 1997 I left the Commercial Banking Industry to be a fulltime colon hydrotherapist. I specialize in bowel retraining of paraplegics/quadriplegics and post trauma syndrome. I continued my studies with Connie Allred at the Internal Environment Institute in Los Angeles, California, Sandra Dugan at the Cayce-Reilly School of Massotherapy in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Jim Girouard at Colon Therapeutics Research in Groves, Texas. In 2001 I felt the call to share the knowledge I have accumulated over the years with other colon hydrotherapists and was asked to become faculty at International School of Colon Hydrotherapy.

In 2003 I started the Bekki Medsker School. Its curriculum is highly unique and specifically designed for accelerated learning. We use highly advanced learning techniques and methods and incorporate them into an easy to learn format.

Quality Education & Curriculum Design

Quality education is still your best investment, today. What creates this higher standing of education is the underlying curriculum design, its presentation, and teacher to student ration (small classes). Curriculum design is the foundational nuts and bolts of every quality educational program. It is the integrative logical and creative step-by-step process that provides a highly accurate road map for the student to follow in their quest for knowledge and become the best that they can be. Higher standards in its presentation allows you to learn with a clearer depth of understanding of how and why it works, how it links into all forms of natural and holistic health care, and then allows you to effectively apply its integrative knowledge.

Learning How To Learn
Over the course of many years of study that my husband and I been involved in we have discovered a very interesting point about all educational design. That in every class we have ever taken from grade school all the way through our doctorate programs the teachers or instructors only told us what we were going to learn. Never once did any of them tell us how to learn and even more importantly - how we learned best. Equipped with the knowledge of how you learn best, not only allows you to learn more but at a much faster learning rate, as well. And what is even more remarkable is the higher degree of information retention of the material covered. We feel that learning how to learn is a very important part of the curriculum design and have implemented it into our leaning program.

Pricing Education
It is always unwise to pay too much. But it is even worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money but still are able to keep and retain the quality of knowledge presented and that's all. But when you pay too little you sometimes lose everything because the educational program you paid for was incapable of providing you with the mental knowledge and tools that allow you to provide a top quality service.

There is hardly anything in the world that someone can't make a little cheaper and marketed for less. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run. But if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something a lot better. Remember - people who only consider the price lay prey to these marketing products.

Not only are we practicing professional health care providers but we are also professional educators, as well. We have collectively over 70 years of teaching experience. We have designed and constructed the highest level of colon hydrotherapy educational standard in today's market place. We hope you will feel the same. Our educational subject matter listed below currently sets the standards in curriculum design and development.
Foundation Level:
Small class sizes are the key factor in the quality of clinical and practical skill levels you will acquire and graduate with. A small class size guarantees you a better rate of learning and more hands-on practical experience. We effectively teach and instruct all of our students to the management and treatment protocol of the therapy. This is done by allowing them to be the actual practitioner, and also as an observer.
